What was it like working with Prince?
Prince is like a junior Sly to me. Sly Stone is the ultimate but Prince is the person that knows exactly what he's doing. You give him an idea and he plants it in the ground and waters it until it bears fruit. So you say that Prince is the new Sly Stone? He is the man. He is underground where he's supposed to be where folks will be loyal to him like the Grateful Dead and Phish. "He's a musician's musician..." |

The whole interview is great - I recommend reading it. George is so humble and cool - one of the great funk musicians. Hearing George talk about Eddie Hazel is great - Eddie was amazing too. | |

Oh, I would love to read him talk about Eddie, who I regard as one of the most talented, yet woefully underrated guitarists ever. I listen to Games, Dames and Guitar Thangs often in addition to his work with Funkadelic. perfection is a fallacy of the imagination... | |
