I believe Mrs. Anderson passed away some time ago within the last couple of years (though it could possibly be a bit earlier).
As for his father, wasn't he a member of Prince's fathers band, and that's how Andre and Prince came to know one another? Someone would probably be able to provide more precise clarity on the subject.
