Apollonia 6 and Mazarati cd-reissue Will these two albums ever be reissued on cd? The only two Prince associated albums that I don't have on cd. Missed the expensive Japanese cd's in the early 90's.
I know that some people don't like these albums, but I enjoy them a lot. Guess I'm not the only one. As far as I'm concerned, WB (or some reissue company like rhino or wounded bird records) should rerelease both albums as soon as possible. All the original tracks plus all available remixes and b-sides!! Some sought after 80's Warner Bros. releases, like Roger Troutman's 'The Saga Continues' got this treatment in the last years, so why not the Prince-associated records? Taja Sevelle even reissued her own Paisley Park album on her own record label. I wonder what sort of legal issues play a role here. What do you think, will it ever happen?

It will never happen. Unless Warner Bros. gives Prince all his masters like he wants, we will never see any of those Paisley Park albums reissued/remastered.

It's not quite Apollonia 6 but Apollonia's solo album from 1988 is now available on iTunes.

I can see why it was the b-side on the "100 Mph" 7". "Champagne Saturday" is the b-side to the "Stroke" 7" and very hard to find. I haven't heard it yet.

I found "Saga Of a Man" and was less than pleased.

It's nothing like "Saga Of A Man".

Im pretty sure Ive seen apollonia 6 for sale on amazon recently, in its used section. Theres always loads of record shops selling stuff via amazon,
its not always used sometimes theyve had it for years and are trying to offload it. I got some prince cds recently off there like chaos and disorder and new power soul from the states and a private seller. walk with crooked shoes www.myspace/syblepurplelishous

Watch out for fakes, Apollonia 6 especially. RE: Reissues, I could see the Apollonia 6 album getting a possible CD release at some point just on the back of 'Sex Shooter' and being in Purple Rain, but the Mazarati CD - I can't see it unfortunately. You know, I have known fans get out of print and relatively small-demand albums re-issued, I guess it just depends on determination, and who holds the rights and how much it costs etc.

I don't see Prince and Warner coming to an agreement anytime soon.
