I've had the pleasure of chatting with Mayte via myspace and I find her to be really sweet. I wonder what your impression is and what Mani is like. I know she's very educated so I'd expect her to be worldly and witty.

I met Mayte in 93 she was in Birmingham for the Act 2 tour with Prince.

She was really quiet and weirdly shy. She and the NPG were in a record shop signing autographs before the evening show (P wasnt there) she spent ages flicking through the book I wanted them to sign (book was The Year Of PRINCE)

I guess she’d never seen certain pics of him as she was like "oooooh look at this picture... oooh and this one too... " I was quite shocked that she was so obviously into and in love with Prince and not afraid to show it.

She was sitting next to Morris (Hayes) who kinda pulled faces at me and rolled his eyes as she pawed over the book he was really sweet.
Tommy Barbarella stared at me like this the whole time tho and made me nervous.

Physically she was a beauty, really petite and short with it but I must admit to thinking that she had the widest face and biggest head I have ever seen especially for such a small person... doesn’t detract from her beauty one bit though.

she also has a really nice speaking voice, with a bit of an accent.

I think I was at that same signing! I think it was in the HMV in the Pavillions if I remember correctly. Got my tour program signed, still got it somewhere. Don't think I actually spoke to them though, or maybe the awestruck "you're great you are" or something stupid like that! But do remember Mayte looking extraordinarily beautiful

@ u thinkin Mayte's head was big.So many beautiful women have big heads tho...Tyra Banks,Naomi Campbell,Tisha Campbell,Mariah Carey,Angela Bassett...the list goes on.And lets not talk about the men cuz Prince is fine but his head is big too
Anyway,enough with the jokes...I talked to Mayte b4 but not in person.She is as sweet as she is beautiful.Shes a really nice person and she seems to have found herself and embraced herself.Those kind of people make it comfortable to be yourself around them b/c theyre so comfortable with themselves.I dont know her personally but I do know she has a considerate and caring heart for those she knows and those she doesnt.
I havent met Mani...but from her work she seems to have the same heart.But like I said I know neither of them personally.

Oooh I remembered something else... she actually took the book away for a minute to show someone a particular picture (wasnt one of the NPG, probably a PA or something) & thats when I realised how miniscule she was. I'm 5'8 (ish) Ok 5'7( & 3/4) Mayte barely reached my shoulder!!

I'm glad I never met Mayte. I'd have to talk to her with a book or something in front of my crotch. Or I'd just plain pass out.
