Maceo Parker is playing four shows @ The Dakota Jazz Club in Downtown Minneapolis on March 3rd and 4th. 2 shows each night 7:00 and 9:30. I'll be at the 9:30 show on Monday th 3rd. Can't wait! I've seen him with his band twice at Paisley Park and I've seen him play with Prince dozens of times. Should be a funky good time! Anyone else going?

Oh, if this was on a weekend I'd come up from Chicago. But I definitely can't catch a Monday or Tuesday show. Plus the 4th is my dad's 72nd bday so that's a no go. I wish Mr. Parker would bring his funk cavalcade to Chi-town!

GREAT SHOW last night! Maceo played almost two hours straight (second show of the night!) and the whole thing was FUNKY! No Prince sighting but Chance Howard was there and came onstage to do a little singing at one point.
