Go to his website dezdickerson.com and he talks about his current state of things. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him." http://ccoshea19.googlepa...ssanctuary http://ccoshea19.googlepages.com | |

Back in October or so, I was on a road trip with my wife and was in the mood for some Christian music, so we stopped by a store (Wal-Mart I think) and went browsing through their CD section. We found a 3-CD worship set at a really cheap price, so I bought it. It's called "Best Modern Worship Hits 4" or something like that. I kid you not, I had no idea until I opened it that it was almost entirely performed and produced by Dez Dickerson, including 3 or 4 songs that where he sings lead vocals. His son Jordan plays drums on most of the songs. Kinda strange how stuff like this lands in our hands, eh? As a side note, I have a very-talented young musician friend from Minneapolis who was in an early line-up of Jordan Dickerson's band, Squirt, several years back. Dez, of course, was very much involved in managing the band, and there apparently was a falling out of sorts with some of the kids (my friend in particular) because of Dez wanting to put Jordan in the spotlight and show off his talent in particular, even at the expense of the other members who were just as talented if not more. Apparently the kids had written some songs together as well, but the songs were either not credited properly or were tossed off to the side if Jordan D. wasn't the main contributor. I thought I'd put that out there because this was told to me directly by one of the members of the band; however, I'd still take it with a grain of salt because kids that age can certainly get emotional and reactive, misinterpreting how everything truly happened.
Peace. | |
