Vanity's relationships Hey Vanity-experts! I was wondering if you guys would mind clearing up some rumors for me about who Vanity was with back in the day?
Obviously, I know for a fact that she was involved with Prince, Adam Ant and Nikki Sixx, and she was briefly married to former Raiders football player Anthony Smith. Over the years, however, I've also heard her name linked with Rick James, Billy Idol, Morris Day, John Stamos, Micki Free, and even James DeBarge? Which, if any of the above are true? Are there any I've missed? Thanks! | |

She hooked up with Gene Simmons? Gross! I know a lot of beautiful and successful women have been with him in the past, but I've never understood his appeal.
Dweezil Zappa? I've never heard that one before... About James DeBarge, I've read a few times before that he was rumored to have had an affair or at least a 1 night stand with Vanity while he was married to Janet Jackson, and this played a part in their divorce. I was wondering if anyone ever heard this before? Also, in one of Matthews' first post-Vanity interviews with Jet Magazine (I can find the article online if anyone wants it) circa 1993, she states that she's been with women too. Uh, have you seen that man's tongue????  He ain't cute but if he got skillz like that I may. . . err. . . nevermind. 
I remember when he was on Oprah and she asked him how long his tongue really was. And he responded, while sitting across the room from her, "Oprah, it's long enough to make you and I be intimate friends from where you're standing."  The look on Ms. O's face was priceless. I don't think I've EVER seen her so flustered or uncomfortable. LOL!!!! Even Diana Ross dated him. | |

I read somewhere that Latoya Jackson had said that her brother Michael fancied Vanity but nothing became of it, and that her sister Janet was jealous of Vanity. When she said that she had experiences with other women, I wonder if that included Susan or Brenda from Vanity 6? | |
