Which of these Jesse Johnson ballads you love best? I'm listing the 3 best love songs I think probably the Jesse has ever recorded. The nominees are: Special Love, I Want My Girl, and I'm Just Wanting You. I love all three but I have a special link to Special Love. From the moment I heard this song I fell in love with it. It was a classic and a disappointment to me that it was never released as a single. A true tragedy. But nonetheless I love it. To me it's better than I Want My Girl and that was a hit. Don't get me wrong, I love the others as well. Especially the twin guitar solo on Just Wanting You but still have to go with Special Love. How about you? Peace and be wild! | |

I think Jesse is a very good guitar player - solo and rhythm: Songs like Love Struck (the solo!) show his abilities. As a singer he is second rated. and as a songwriter in my opinion he is better in funk songs than in Love Songs. I'm Just Wanting You Those two are my fave strictly cuz of all of the excellent guitar work by J.J. Special Love is cool cuz that was the b-side of his first release.
