Lushus Daim & The Pretty Vain

Anyone remember this little concoction from Motown? Attempting to cash in on the burgeoning Minneapolis Funk sound made popular by the Purple One himself, 1985 saw the release of Prince and Vanity's lovechild, with the assistance of her backing band The Pretty Vain, "More Than You Can Handle" album. The title cut was released as a mildly successful single, and soon after, they faded into 80's obscurity.

Additional information is scarce, but their album can be purchased from e-bay and other online retailers at a cheap prince. There's some good workout-funk tracks like "Flex" and "Pretty Poison," a listenable ballad in "For You" and the mandatory 80's era jam with "Attention Addict."

I remember seeing her perform on Soul Train. She did "More Than You Can Handle" and the second single "The One You Love". I believe the second single was more successful than the first on the charts. I thought both songs weren't bad although obviously derivative of the Minneapolis sound at the time. I'd be willing to pick up the album today if I could get it for super-cheap.
