VanityFair

She needed more direction in this- and to engage the camera head on, but keep in mind this was early in her career. I LOVE JJ and I THINK SHE'S AWESOME!
She looks excellent (still- actually more beautiful than ever now).

I had never seen this video before.I remember reading that Prince was pissed at MTV when they rejected this video. In retaliation,he didn't give them a proper video for his own single "Sign O The Times".

love the song. the video is okay. don't like her hair in it but she was still fine as hell. she could sing too. i think my man would have been a better single for her though. i just heard it recently and i can't get it out of my head. for love is also very good and violet blue. i haven't listened to the rest of the songs because i've already heard p do them. so i'm not in much of a hurry to, but i'm sure her versions are good too. she was definitely the most talented singer of the earlier "prince girls". too bad her record didn't blow up as it should have.
For all time I am with you, you are with me.

I agree with you,"My Man" would have been a better choice for the first single. It's more direct and easy to understand. It's a powerful,bright,well-written pop tune.

I still say I see nothing at all in this lady.
Looks average, voice sub-average, and her acting was awful. I don't get it. I think people are more fascinated by her association with Prince than her on her own. She was wack. I am sure Jill is a cool person. I am not trying to be mean here. But it seems like sometimes we prop people up here wayy to much here simply because they "knew" Prince or samg a ditty he wrote.
That song is a mess, her 'singing' was a mess, damn.

She was sexy in a more earthy way than Vanity or Appolonia. She looked like a REAL woman. For me she was the most attractive of all his women. Not perfect like Appolonia, but sexier in a more real way if that makes any sense (if you've seen Graffiti Bridge you should know what I'm talking about). Her voice was good when Prince wasn't forcing her to imitate his vocal style. This particular song does nothing for me, but her album had some great tracks on it, and that's part of why people have a lot of time for her. She had her name on one of the best non-Prince Paisley Park albums.
