It's nowhere near the sound of their debut. Brownmark, if I'm correct, has no involvement with this album. Bernadette Cooper of Klymaxx fame had a hand in helping with the production. You could say the album tinges on the verge of being New Jack Swing possibly?

I stand corrected. What a difference Prince's lack of presence made.

There's a Mazarati version of "Jerkout",recorded in 1985.The guys didn't like a certain lyric that pertained to "white girls" and so the song didn't appear on their album. It was later given to the reunited Time.

The album, titled 'Mazarati II',was released in 1989 on Motown Records.BrownMark left the Prince camp in 1986 and signed to Motown as a solo artist and producer. He brought Mazarati along with him.I've never heard the second album but this is the tracklist:

Words
The Saga Of A Man
The Woman Thang
Something's Going On
Seduction
Up All Night
Don't Leave Me Baby
Betcha
One Girl

hmmm somehow,I doubt that this album is as good as the debut album.

Satisfaction is a cover of the Rolling Stone's "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction."
Come Together is a cover of The Beatles song by the same name.

Good luck on ebay. I've seen the Japanese CD (the only country where the album was released on CD) sell for around $500 on there.

The vinyl record won't be as expensive, but it will still cost you some $$$.

Don't Leave Me Baby is really good but the rest of Maz 2 isn't that great at all. It's worth a listen just to see where they went after the debut but that's about it.

While we're speaking of Mazarati, do you guys remember the premier of UTCM on MTV when Maz was on stage and all of a sudden they cut to Jerome in another room trying to get reaction from fans who were just sitting around looking bored? That just always seemed really odd to me and if you watch it closely you can see Jerome saying something like "what do you want me to do?" through clenched teeth to the camera, so this was obviously not a planned thing. Anyone got any insight on this?

Oh and I think this is my first post so please don't kill me. confused confused

Since the second album was released in 1989,I'm guessing that it had more of a New Jack Swing sound? hmmm I prefer the harder,synth-heavy Minneapolis funk of the debut album.
