Associated Artist Song of the Day: I Don't Wanna Leave You by The Time http://www.youtube.com/wa...svJzp10BDU
This might be the most underrated of all Time songs and it is a gem. The keyboards are banging. The end, though always puzzled me. It is so out of sync with the rest of the song. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

ONE OF MY FAVORITE TIME SONGS OF ALL TIME!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!
I ONCE ASKED MONTE MOIR WHY THEY DON'T DO THIS SONG LIVE, AND HE DIDN'T ANSWER ME. HE JUST SHRUGGED HIS SHOULDERS. THEY SHOULD DO THIS ONE!!!!! "LET ME BE YOUR DOCTOR, BABE I'LL MAKE YA FEEL ALRIGHT....ALRIGHT I'VE GOT SOMETHIN' TO KEEP YOU WAAAAARM ON A COLD AND LONELY NIGHT NOW TURN OUT THE LIGHTS"

Easily my favorite song by The Time. If Prince would have kept this for himself and released it, it would have definately been a hit.
Can anyone explain the strange ending? I mean it's funky but it's such a departure from the rest of the song.

The end, though always puzzled me. It is so out of sync with the rest of the song. I remember exchanging my album twice thinking a had a skip in my record. After the second time, I went out and bought a new needle and it still sounded like a skip. I gave up on it after that and accepted it. It wasn't until I bought the CD years later that I realized that the skip was intentional. . . [Edited 12/6/07 14:05pm] Andy is a four letter word.

Great song that is probably the Time's most underated. I never had a problem with the change at the end. It is different, but interesting. I don't know if it was meant to be perceived as the end of that song, or the end of the record.
Yeah I said record bithes....I'm Old School!!!! "Always blessings, never losses......"
Ya te dije....no manches guey!!!!! I'm a guy!!!! "....i can open my-eyes "underwater"..there4 i will NOT drown...." - mzkqueen03

This is my favorite Time song I absolutely love it.
I like that cool fade-out,when the beat changes abruptly, just out of the blue.

I love this song. It's one of the most underrated great songs recorded by The Time along with 'My Drawers' and 'The Stick'. It's great 2 hear this song. The ending still makes me wonder but, it's all good. Jamie Starr and Morris Day was just jamming near the end. It's another purple classic, in my opinion. I know Prince is thinking "Man, I should have kept that one". He's thought felt that way with several other songs he's gave away 2 The Time. This joint has his name all over it. Just think, if that was on the '1999' album?

If this song had been released as a single in 1983,it would have been an R&B chart-topper.
