Love this song. One of my faves on the album . Reminds me a lot of Free, which is also one of my faves from P. Here's a question for the o.g.'s: Have any of ya'll ever wondered or noticed for that matter what Brenda meant when she comes busting in out of no where singing "Lisa, can u hear me?" towards the end of the song? It always struck me as kinda lesbian-ish, which was hot! As a kid, I was always like "What did she say?" "Hmmm, what does she mean?" "Is she singing to Lisa?" And dig, this was BEFORE any of us had even seen Wendy. Granted, Wendy was definately already around in P's clique, being that she sung on Free. Ya'll ever notice Brenda singing that shit?

This is the one song that should have stayed in the vaults Their voices weren't strong enough to carry a ballad.Prince should have closed the album with another strong,funky "Nasty Girl"-type jam,which the album needed.

Don't recall the "Lisa,can U hear me" part...I'll have to listen to it again.

I wouldn't be surprised or amazed at the questionable sexuality of anyone from the Prince camp including Prince himself. They were all a freaky bunch and that's what I loved about them.

Love this song -- don't ask me why, just do. Sounds sincere to me. A big + when it comes to music for me. I've played it many a time, and must say that I've always heard "sisters can u hear me." I do, however, appreciate everyone looking for those little things that might reveal more about the song and/or songwriters. On a side note, if you play "I need 7-inches or more" backwards (Nasty Girl), you get something like, "Sorry, I just had to sneeze."

Damn....I must admit that I like it that nobody else likes the song. I've ALWAYS liked it. Ever since the first time I heard it when I bought the album in 82. I love the intro. And great guitar solo by P as well.
