Anyone have any new info on what Morris and the crew are doing. For the first time in a number of years, there are no new tour dates scheduled (that I can find on Ticketmaster or anywhere else) and for the last several months Jerome was busy with the Family. I hope this isn't the end of their live shows and touring.

I remeber at the start of this year there was a story of them going back into the recording studio! What happened to that?

All I know is that Prince tried to push this gospel like music on them and they didn't like it so they said keep your dang music and rushed out the studio... I will let you know what else is going on later on today if I get a response from my eye...

They better take that music and record that stuff. They need something new and fresh. I dig the band bigtime but it's been quite awhile since they put out some music.

Why would you say that Prince cursed them? He has written many great songs for them, and for all intent and purpose I would say that he is responsible for their career.They have been around for well over 20 years. Thats no curse. They are very talented in their right but you know how the music business is today. You really need someone to get your name out there for you. Prince can carry his own name but most others can't. This is why the music business is going to the crapper. I believe that this is why Prince is taking it upon himself to make drastic change.He can see where it's going.

Morris and The Time may be a bit too busy these days for touring.They have a new gig being the house band for The Baisden After Dark show on TV ONE with Morris also being cohost.

Regarding new material, I KNOW for a fact that when Bobby Grissett played keys with along with Monte, Morris only wanted new material from the o.g. members. Him, Jellybean and Monte. The was the deal with their last album. Bobby played bass and keyboards in bands that I had since high school. He's no longer with Morris though. I've know Tori since 89 when his band Civil Rite and my band Amalgam used to gig together on the same bills. I was to busy with a string of dates in Tahoe with my band Amalgam, later billed Chocalate Coated Babies that were already booked when Morris asked me to play for "6 to 9 months" with the revamped Time. This was before he got Tori. The 6 to 9 months was all Morris thought they were going to tour at that time.
