Doesn't this statement make it pretty obvious that she's just a fan and not THE Chelsea Rodgers? Because it ain't her.

Out of all of Prince's long history of associates (not to mention his history of "mysteriousness" about people and things), Chelsea Rodgers has to be the most boring. She's so boring that they all forgot to strike while the iron was lukewarm. She'll be lucky to have TC Ellis's stardom.

I don't get why Prince needed to hire a woman to play the role of " Chelesa Rodgers"? What point does she actually serve? Even if you read the lyrics, the well read, history lover, orginal thinker with a social conscious is lost by her being a partying model and then you have the woman who plays her sitting in the front row of a fashion designer's show (even though she is supposed to be too orginal for designer), in a shower with a perfume bottle and dressed in boring clothing. Catchy song but give the CR idea the flick Princey.

But when I was reading it what I thought he meant by 21st century hippie was that she was down to earth. Maybe CR is down to earth, not necessarily a hippie in the literal sense. Just throwing this thought out there.
