I just heard it and it leaves much to be desired. I am not going to say it sucked, but it's not for her. Sometimes it just best to leave some things alone. SOTT is an Anthem, she should have pick a different song. | |

Sign O The Times is a very difficult song to cover. I just think its one of those Prince songs that should just be performed by him.

At first I was a little skeptical about Chaka covering this tune when I'd heard she'd done it. However upon hearing it and seeing that Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis and Jesse Johnson played on the track I was impressed.Who better than those three to deliver a creditable remake w/Ms. Khan
People are acting like Prince has been playing this so called "anthem" for yrs!!!!! He hasn't. He brought new life to it on the Musicology tour. Prior to then last time he played it was 1987. Remakes are just that. Remakes. I'm sure Prince is appreciating a new spin on one of his more personal tunes. After all it's not like the butchering Sinead(nothing compares) and Diddy/TLC(if I was ur girlfriend) gave his tunes. | |
