Since the late 90s Prince's stage ladies have been getting more and more manly. Maybe it's the fact that they wear way too much make up and have no boobs that makes them look like drag queens. It started with Mayte in the late Gold era, continued with the blonde girl in the Rave dvd and now the Twinz & Chelsea. They all look like drag queens to me. I'll take Marva and Shelby over the Twinz & CR anyday--at least M & S have talent.

I'm not saying she always looks like a man, I'm saying the heavy make-up makes her (and others) look like a drag queens; and this has been going on since the Gold era. (Look at Vanity, Sheila, Cat, D&P, even Geneva....much less make-up.) It all has to do with the make-up. Wearing too much make-up makes woman look old and most of the time they look better without it. Less is more!
Also, I didn't "search & search" until I found a bad pic (it's not that hard to find bad pics of the Twinz, btw). I happened to remember that particular photo from the HQ thread b/c I thought it was a terrible photo of all 3 of them. And I admitted that the photo I posted is not the most flattering and that could be why they look tranny; but I've also seen pics of CR on her website and I wasn't that impressed. I'm not commenting on the Twinz appearance overall because I *will* be hated on for what I have to say about that. (But I will comment on their lack of dancing/singing talent in relevent threads.) And before anyone (not you per se, but I've been here long enough to know what the "Org" reaction will be) says I'm just jealous or why don't I post a pic of myself; I will point out that there are pics of me floating around (here & myspace). I know I'm not a model; but my career is not contingent on looking like one (thankfully, or I'd be in trouble ). I'd probably be more likely to be jealous of Marva or Shelby b/c they have beautiful voices than someone who is a 'model.' Outer beauty fades & is in the eye of the beholder anyway so why be jealous about it? | |
