Sheila E. admits relationship with Prince Candy Dulfer was on dutch television yesterday. She has made a serie of interviews with several artist like Van Morisson, Mavis Staples and Sheila E. These intervieuws will be showed starting half october on dutch television. They showed a small clip of the sheila e. interview at the program onderweg naar morgen. In which Candy asks Sheila:
Why u never married Prince. U 2 seem destined for one another. Sheila replies; Yes i know. We started as friends before we had a relation. Even Candy said at the program. She was highly suprised by this revelation. She also thought Sheila was lesbian. Candy also admitted to be a bad journalist, not digging deeper into this answer... but as far as i know this is the first time openly admitted. | |

Whoa, stop the presses!  No offense, but Candy's not exactly Bob Woodward here. Sheila's talked about the relationship many times in the past, and the "We were friends first" line is how she almost always describes it. But maybe the rest of the interview will be interesting; I think those two could have a great conversation about music and playing around the world. If there's a link to it after it airs, could you post it? | |

She started talking about them being engaged back in 2001. She did a few interviews and mention it. She also mentioned it on an interview she did on Arsenio Hall back in the 90’s when he asked her why they never got married.
