mayte on "big shots" saw the ad for the series premier and thought i saw her...
sure enough googled it and she plays lori hodge in tonights episode. i really haven't liked what i've seen of the story lines from the promos so am not all that excited that she's a part of it... although i am sure it will be a popular show. will be interesting if nothing else to see how the girl can act.

Mayte is playing the role of a reporter, doing a story on Dylan McDermott's "Big Shots" character. He's married, but got caught in the bathroom stall of a truck stop having sex with a tranny hooker in another city. Mayte knows this fact and threatens to leak the story.
McDermott's character, and one of the other guys, decide the solution is to re-find the tranny hooker and pay her off. By the way, her character's name is Donelle -- a rather nice looking black guy. McDermott didn't know he was getting head in the bathroom stall from a tranny until, during the arrest, Donelle is seen peeing at the urinal. He pays her $1000 to keep quiet should Mayte or any other reporter come try to track Donelle down, since the bust is on record. The show ended with Donelle pulling a mini cassette recorder out of her person and turning the tape over to Mayte. In the previews for next week's show, it shows Dylan McDermott saying he has a new "solution to the problem" and shows him in bed with Mayte! (I am not making any of this up!!!!) Anyway - the show was actually very well written. There's lots of phallic references throughout, the men are good on the eyes, and the characters are well-developed and each has their own flaw or problem. The stories overlap, much like "Desperate Housewives" and there are lots of comedy bits thrown in like on that show too. Take a looksy...

now we see why mayte is only on the first two shows lol
she did a nice job... and checking out her imdb page shows i've missed a lot of bit part acting that she has done recently. wonder if she wants any full time stuff and just can't get it or isn't interested in that type of work? as for the show itself it wasn't as negative as i thought. from the previews it seemed like it was all about cheating and lying and pulling one over on your wife while you splash money around. thanks for the synopsis underground
