I've got the 'Uncommon Denominator' album from 2005. It's largely instrumental jazz, somewhere in the David Sanborn / Kenny G / Groover Washington Jr mode. It's high quality, but is missing some funk. The linear notes have a big essay about real music by real musicians - maybe that's how you get in the NPG.

Mike's a quality player, at best seen in the Indige. No respect to Maceo, but it's good to see him step out of 'the teacher's' shadow. The other album is from 2002 and I haven't heard it, try Amazon Marketplace if you want a bargain.

On another note, how did he get his CD up there and Marva King or Maceo Parker not do so? Has Mike eased out Candy? And where's Rhonda Smith?

I know I mite get alot of hate for this, but i was at the 12th aftershow, where there was no Maceo, i gotta say, everyone looked comfitable, and mike really got into it... I'm not sayying his better than Maceo, but maybe Candy!?

Mike's a much more dynamic player than Maceo...he was damn good at the aftershow on the 16th
