Never got into "Romance 1600" as a whole album. Even "Love Bizarre" drags as a 12 minute plus opus. It's a good four minute (or so) pop song....leave it at that. WOuld have had plenty of room for "Holy Rock". I thought her self titled album kicked ass. Is Prince not as hands on in that case and Shelia and others actually do the songwriting? | |

I actually liked the follow up album better with the ballad hold me
and koo koo. I also liked pride and the passion. If you bought the album back in the day you could see that it was on a ugly ass label.  [Edited 9/20/07 18:40pm] Don't laugh at my funk

I guess whats a drag for others is a jaym to me. I memorised every little horn section and Prince scream in that 12 minutes..its a fantastic extended version. Prince was hands on in the songrwriting except for about 3 or 4 songs. Hold Me, Faded Photographs, Hone E Man and Soul Salsa I believe.... I love that song so much I have that beat looped. I can play it for hours.
