Jill is THE BEST 80's female singer from Paisly Park, not mention the COOLEST Prince's girlfriend and you can tell that by her attitude . Now and then she was the quite girl who isolated herself from the camera lights and the fame world ya know?? Pretty much the female Prince, hell unlike ALMOST every Prince-EX who can be seen 2day in porn sites, E! and all that glittering mess:roll:. Its really nice that she have a daughter I'm a mother myself and I can anderstand and feel the piece of mind that she's living.

I also heared that she's an INDIE singer also, man it would be nice if she appeared in the next year's celly.

Jill Jones is a very good singer. I dig her.

Jill is a great singer but honestly,I just don't feel that her career was a top priority at Paisley Park/Warner Bros.She had been hanging around Prince since 1980,but her debut album didn't come out until 1987! She has had to sit back and watch lesser talents (Vanity,Apollonia) steal the spotlight and make careers for themselves.Then,when her album finally came out,it consisted mainly of 1984 Prince and The Revolution outtakes! In 1990,she was given a role in 'Graffiti Bridge' that was SO small and insignificant,she could have phoned it in...lol...

Jill honestly didn't get the recognition she deserved. Love her solo album on Paisley Park. Well,what about her role in Purple Rain as the Adoring Waitress who Prince Never really noticed much? Listen she wasn't Vanity. She wasn't his number 1 ? It's sad to say but she was a background singer for him on 1999. She had Fans myself being one of them and other people I knew who saw her at the Ritz. She was dating Billy Idol's Guitarist Steve Stevens. Listen, Prince had his lovelies who Adored him. He could choose. He took all. Of course the women loved him and were Fed-Up. Did anybody think he'd marry a girl named Mayte when he could have Shelia E or Carmen? Listen he has his own way.

Jill was normal she is Teena Marie's foster sister. jill always wanted to follow in Teena's footsteps. Prince was not her boy friend. She was only 13 in 1983. Why do people want to make him such a pervert. She stayed with him when Teena was on the road. He knew Teena from his first tour.

They told me that Prince and Jill Jones were an item and that they used to go to First Avenue together and that he used to Fuck her in the Woman's bathroom. That he used to do up her right there and it came from somebody who worked at First Avenue. So,I believe the story. Plus it was an old rumor from a long time ago.

Jill Jones was born in a small town in Ohio to a black mother and an Italian father. At the age of [17] she left home to pursue her dream of becoming a professional songwriter/singer. Her first job was as a backing singer for her idol Teena Marie, who was managed by her mother. Marie was the opening act for Prince on the 1980 Dirty Mind tour which is where Jones and Prince met for the first time. Prince was very impressed and kept in contact with Jones. It was in 1982 when Jones was invited by Prince to Sunset Sound sessions, where she sang on several 1999 tracks, notably "Lady Cab Driver." In 1983, she moved to Minneapolis at Prince's recommendation where she began work on a solo album.
