The Girls Information about this Andre Cymone produced girl group put together as somewhat of an answer to Vanity/Apollonia 6 is scarce to say the least. How did they come about, did their music get considerable play on the radio, were any videos ever produced, were there plans for a 2nd album, is 'Girl Talk' any good, etc!?

I remember reading about them in a 1984 issue of Rock N' Soul magazine.One of the members boldly said "Unlike Vanity....I mean,Apollonia 6...we can sing.And although we also sing about sex,we do it with more taste and class than they do".

Their album got absolutely no airplay in my area. I think I had read something about it in a magazine or something and I just happened to see it in the record store at the time so I bought it. Andy is a four letter word. | |

Yeah, "S-E-S-E-X" was a definate jam. I've heard from orgers that there was a 12 Inch of it. Another good jam on the album is "Don't Waste My Time". I ain't got time for playin' no games Cause if I have to..... I'll play with myself Andy is a four letter word. | |

I saw them perform at 1st Avenue nightclub. They were good. Too bad their record wasn't pushed with a couple of videos or tour's. They could've been the MPLS version of the Mary Jane Girls. | |
