Sheila Is Latina, but what ethnic background? For years I've wondered whether Sheila was Puerto Rican, Mexican or African American and Mexican.
I've heard that she was blk/hispanic, but wasn't sure if that was true. Thou alot of folk initially thought she was black (only), until she started incorporating more latin sound to her music. So what is Sheila's Heritage? Mexica, Puerto Rican, Bla-tina? | |

Her father is Pete Escovedo, the Tito Puente of the Bay Area. (Although now they live in LA.) Mother is African American, I believe, but I don't know for sure. You'll have to wait for Angie to see this and post. Or maybe Gigi. __________________________________________
