Mr. Blackwell, how do you rate Sheila's fashion? Yeah, I know I have too much time on my hands. But I'm bored, and Associated Artists doesn't get enough love, so here's another picture thread.
And it's an interactive thread! You don't have to be Mr. Blackwell--have some fun rating Sheila's fashion through the years. Don't see your favorite Sheila outfit? Feel free to add more pics. Have fun... Sheila Through the Years: She wants to lead...
Tell me why you blushin', baby
Blue's a better color
Something for my head
He can't resist my beat
Funky attitude
Shortberry strawcake
Here I stand, defenseless
Work your body, work your body, make sure you don't hurt nobody
Laugh all night
Faded photographs
Bring me one of them furs!
Make a lotta white noise
Yellow's a happenin' color
Come to my private party
This is my house
Lost in your reverie
I might take things too serious or maybe not at all
All I ask is for a little decency and class
Come to me, my island breeze ![]() [Edited 7/3/07 19:57pm]

. [Edited 7/4/07 1:08am] Yeah, I wonder if the white one-legged outfit was comfortable to wear. Seems like it wouldn't be, but you'd never know it. I love that it's a turtleneck too. It's cool that Patti Labelle and Sheila designed it together.

Damn, Patti got a wild side Yeah, when Graffiti Bridge was coming out they devoted an episode of Friday Night Videos to Prince, and Patti and Malcolm Jamal Warner (I think) were the hosts. Before they played U Got the Look, Patti told the story about how she and Sheila were good friends and Sheila came over to Patti's house to work on it. Patti would have actually made it right then, she said, but her sewing machine was broken.

She's still beautiful. When I saw her at the April aftershow in Vegas (where she gave me a huge hug and a set of her drumsticks) she was real casual in a pretty kimono, wearing her eyeglasses and rocking flip-flops and she STILL looked gorgeous. Okay, she kinda makes me sick. . .

[Edited 7/5/07 11:24am] I COMPLETELY agree, cuz I'm constantly clowning Beyonce and other current female singers for their attire and choreography but I tend to forget that Vanity an nem, Sheila and the rest of Prince's chicks were damn near naked. And although it was kinda shocking for the times it just didn't seem as overt or distasteful as it seems to me now. There was always a certain amount of class with all his female proteges, especially with Sheila, that somehow made it alright.

I'll give youth their ignorance and exploration but if sheila was still rockin' the one legged thingy..... let me get my soap box...lol. As you get older, you should learn that sexuality doesn't have to be so overt. A little bit REALLY does go a long way....

I think that's cool, showing that women can be beautiful and sexy and sexual as they age.

I love Sheila! I think that she has so much style- always has. Even in those ridiculously 80s outfits, she had "it". In planning for my party, I noticed that overall, Sheila didn't show as much skin as some of the others. I was hard-pressed to find a whole bunch of pix with a whole lot flesh. And when she did, it didn't look bad. "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

If Mr Blackwell saw Sheila last night she would have gotten a 10... She was abolutely stunning in a purple minidress showing her cuteness.. She is a very elegant girl, sexy and has what it takes to look good, make few heads turn and be respected.. Love her to death!!!
