Malbena and I went there...glad we had the VIP seats, it was pretty crowded. They really didn't play that many Prince songs, Wish I had thought to write them all down, more concerned with "surprise guests"

There were no surprise guests. I was double checking the list to see if any of them weren't listed. There was noone else there except who was on the list. And there was no meet and greet afterwards. We had heard rumor of a party at Paisley Park last night so I asked one of the band members and he smiled and said "There's Speculation." So, Malbena and I drove out to Paisley Park at 2 a.m. Nothing!

I love Jellybean too ... the last time I was out to see The Truth was back in April and half the band was missing, but he always makes it worth while to come out and see!

How could they not play any Prince songs when it was a Prince birthday celebration? "hey, prince gotta eat. doritos ain't cheap. well, they are. but i'm guessing prince doesn't have a costco card." - Anxiety

They played a few Prince songs: Wanna be Your Lover When Doves Cry Purple Rain (sung by Michael Bland) very nicely done I might add! There were probably a few I don't remember. But they did not play many I was very surprised. Wish I had thought to write a set list down. They also played; Jungle Love The Bird glamorous life The other songs did not relate to Purple Rain!? I don't know if plans got changed (Prince was supposed to be there) or if the Cabooze took some license in advertising to get people in? Like I said, there were no other surprises guests besides who was already listed to be there.

It was amazing!!!!!
I will say, though, that the VIP seating was a joke! I don't want to be in the far end of the bar, away from the stage with a couch to sit on when I can't even SEE the band from there? Who thought that UP? And as for a meet and greet? Never was mentioned, never happened. (I'm glad I know a lot of the band members, so I didn't need to stress about meeting them) So the VIP was a way to get more $$ as far as I'm concerned. I found the staff at the Cabooze RUDE as well. All that being said, the show was OFF THE HOOK! I was in front of the stage with some friends and danced all night. My feet STILL hurt. I'll see what songs I can remember: Sexy MotherFucker Irrisistble Bitch Fire Soul Power Nothing Compares 2 U Screams of Passion Jungle Love The Bird Mutiny High Fashion River runs Dry When Doves Cry Purple Rain DMSR Erotic City America Ah...there was a lot more, but that Is all I can remember right now. They were video-taping as well, so that combined with what they did at the LIVE CD recording on May 31, should produce great tunes for a CD and video for some live footage!

I agree the staff was very rude!!!!! I called many times before the tickets went on sale and called inquiring about VIP tickets...i finally got the name and number to their main promoter and talked to him. At least he was friendly. I should call and complain to him about the false advertising!!!!!
