I liked this song back in the day. I recently bought his album and the version on his album sucked.
Is it the same version they played on the radio back in the 80's? If it is the same, it sounded totally different hearing it 20 years later.

what do you guys think bout the final cut "don´t let the future come down on you"? i think this is retro-futurism, no it´s pure utopia. to make my point clear: "houses on the ground, buildings on the sea"- what the hell is andre singing about?

Yeah, this whole album is good, really. i think he fucked up hooking up with Owen Husney. Owen was on this devoted shit to Prince, even after P fired his ass. P was always able to get people to be loyal to him, even AFTER he had bounced from them. Owen hindered Andre as an artist. I felt he tried to hold him back. Andre was on to a good thing, something totally different from what P was doing at the time. Andre knew a lot of what P knew about songwriting and production. They had many of the same influences and they were all adept on different instruments. Andre was a very good lyricist. He had good visions for material, which is evident on this album. In a way, I hated to see him do "Dance Electric". He should have just stayed the fuck away from P, like he had done, Got a new manager who wasn't devoted to P and kept on his OWN path. He didn't need a song from Prince. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him." http://ccoshea19.googlepa...ssanctuary http://ccoshea19.googlepages.com

I always thought it was a great track until I later found out it was a close copy of an Elton John song. Great album though. -----------------------------------------
