Alexander O'neal had a kidney transplant... I heard on the radio Friday that Alexander O'neal was not going to be at a concert that he and Cherelle were doing in Pontiac Mi due to him receiving a kidney transplant. I meant to post about this earlier but forget. While watching the Discovery Health channel a few minutes ago, I recalled what I heard on Friday. I did a google search and this is what I found:
Friday, July 13, 2007 Print this Comment on this E-mail this Alexander O'Neal bows out of concert Ursula Watson / The Detroit News R&B singer Alexander O'Neal will not be performing with Cherrelle at tonight's concert scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Phoenix Plaza Amphitheatre in Pontiac. O'Neal received a kidney transplant yesterday after waiting for an organ for more than a year, according to Sandy McDonald, executive director of the Pontiac Downtown Development Association and concert organizer. O'Neal, 53, had R&B success in the '80s with a string of jams such as "Innocent" "Criticize" and his duets with Cherrelle called "Saturday Love" and "Never Knew a Love Like This." I really love his song "Fake" or "She a Fake" something like that, the beat & all. I'm going to yahoo music to listen to it now. [Edited 7/16/07 9:57am] God doesn't just tells me how much he "LOVE's" me, God shows me how much he "LOVE's" me. Both telling and showing "LOVE" means to "LOVE". They go hand in hand. You can't have one with out the other. Something is spoken, then followed by an action. That is

I thought the poster was implying that the article was fake, but I wanted them to explain because I could have misinterpreted their post.

But that was four days before his transplant. He was probably receiving dialysis so wouldn't neccessarily look ill during his wait for an organ.

My dad has had 2 kidney transplants, you can live a pretty normal life on dialysis. When a kidney becomes available you have like an hour to decide and get yo ass to the hospital for the surgery. Good luck to him! I hope his recovery is speedy and I pray for no rejection, and I hope the meds are not to bad for him. "not a fan" yeah...ok

Yes you did misinterpreted, the song is called "Fake", but I wasn't sure. So when I checked, I came back to be clear.
