Most talented member of the Time? I would have to say Jimmy Jam.....next to prince he is the second greatest songwriter in minneapolis and the best keyboard player.....he was to the time what lebron james is to the cavaliers dont you think?

Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are definately the most acclaimed in their own right as musicians and more-so as producers. I do particularly like Jesse Johnson's guitar playing style as well as with his solo material, though.
My vote's between those 3. [Edited 6/2/07 16:30pm]

Jerome
Only someone so cool can hold a mirror that gaudy "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Morris Day
He was great drummer, singer, actor and comedian, what more do you need. As far as I was concerned, Morris Day was the Time . Prince fucked him over big time, he was the only star in this town, the bitch should have come to him. 17 Years ago I made a commitment to Prince

There were a bunch of talented guys in the Time but I don't think the group could work without Morris Day.

It's hard to pick just one. How could you? It's unfare. With all that talent collectively and individually they were monsters. Jimmy and Terry are hell of producers and songwriters and just as strong now as they were then. Nobody couldn't pounce the drums like Jellybean. Seeing him live was an experience I never forget. Jesse rock the guitar like nobody else at the time. Only Eddie Van Halen and Prince would give Jesse a run for his money. And let's not forget Morris. The coolest dude on the planet. He gives a show like no other. He's the best(sorry Alexander). So I'm just calling it an all around tie. Hollar! What time is it? Peace and be wild!

Jam, Terry, and Jesse. Hands down. But all of the Time members were great. No one was really riding on anyone's coat tails.

ALTHOUGH THEY'RE ALL TALENTED IN THEIR OWN RIGHT, U HAVE 2 ADMIT THAT THE TIME IS/WAS/WILL NEVER BE THE SAME WITHOUT:
JIMMY JAM TERRY LEWIS JESSE JOHNSON ...AND NOW ADD JEROME BENTON TO THAT LIST. WHAT TIME IS IT????? PART-TIME!!!!! PART-TIME!!!!! PART-TIME!!!!! PART-TIME!!!!!

My vote goes for Jellybean. He's got a monster pocket on the drums and he's a good guitar player.

they really should stop calling them The Time, maybe Morris Day, Bean & Monte

All the Org Verterns know Legs is a Time & Jesse Fan from back in the day. So Respectfully, when it comes down to The Time, I'll say that you could call them a Funky Collective. The Original 7 can not be beat. With Jesse, Jellybean,Morris, Monte, Jam, Lewis,& Jerome. That 's a hellafied show. [Edited 6/12/07 10:08am]
