Back in the mid-90s,she did an interview with some magazine and that was the first time I heard her say that she was engaged to Prince in 1988.She said that they didn't get married because he had too many other women in his life.He wasn't ready to give up his wild lifestyle.I wish I could find that article! Sheila and P had hooked up BEFORE he started working with her on her debut album. The reason that Sheila was even at the studio with P during the cutting of Erotic City is because they had been seeing each other. Once he was able to convince her to go as a solo artist, that's when he started yanking all of his hit material that he had planned elsewhere and gave it to Sheila. I had also heard about her being engaged to P during Lovesexy. I seriously doubt this. One, I don't think Sheila was high on drugs. And she would have had to been to even consider marrying Prince. Ske KNEW how this cat was. Sheila was a grown woman. Not some girl who was totally turned out by Prince. No doubt that they respected each other as musicians. But marriage? Nah....That's like P, in the early 80's, marrying Lisa. Similar thing. They admired each other's talent and Lisa actually lived with P for awhile. But Lisa wouldn't marry someone like P. They know Prince too well. Sheila never struck me as naive. No doubt that they slept together here and there through out the 80's, but being into women, such as Sheila AND Lisa and getting with Prince, isn't that much of a stretch, now is it? I was like, "Now if this chick had previously or currently been with my man, we might have been scrapping, fuck singing." 
Think about it, around the same time he was hittin' Vanity, Jill, Lisa, Susan, and possibly Sheila. And that's just within the family, not including chicks on the side the public doesn't know about. I've always heard of Rhonda playing for the same team however, I don't how many of you had the chance to watch the COED interview on you tube before Sheila requested to remove the video.
