How fantastic is this song??!


A certain (much-missed ) Dutch Orger er, 'hipped' me to Mavis' 'Time Waits For No-One' a few months back and I have been so obsessed with 'Jaguar' and the title track that I overlooked this one. I love it!


I'm not sure if Prince was involved in it or not but it definitely has that trademark smooth Prince funk of the late 80's (see: Lovesexy, Sheila E's eponymous album) that I absolutely adore. Those clean rhythym guitars, especially. I'd love a return to that sound.

Okay, it's not the best song ever recorded but I am in love with this at the moment.


And while I'm at it... 'God Is Alive'.

Sorry Anyway, you surely know what I think of this song.

It's a great track! I'm glad you like it!

I discovered this the same way as I discovered 'Pride & The Passion' by Sheila E - I was in the shower and this song started. Something about the intro (in both cases) really put me off and I used to skip it; however, I wasn't able to and by the time it got halfway through I was a-drooling.

Jaguar is the ONE on this album, though. Love it.
