What was her conneciton to Prince?

She had signed with Paisley Park, but nothing happened due to Warners bros closing Paisley park

Tyler Collins signed with Paisley Park Records in late 1992.Throughout 1993,she was in the studio recording a new album.A rap group was featured on a few tracks.Unfortunately,in early 1994,Paisley Park Records was shut down and Tyler's album was never released.

Interestingly,in 1990,Tyler said that she had been approached by Prince to appear in 'Graffiti Bridge'.I'm assuming that he wanted to her to play the part that he gave to Jill Jones? At the time,Collins said she didn't want to work with Prince."I'm a huge fan but I don't want to become just another Prince girl",she said.Prince kept in touch with her and finally got her to sign with Paisley Park Records.

I have her debut cd and it is HORRIBLE (except for a couple of cuts). Let us not forget her cameo on Tevin's debut cd.

I can't remember a single thing about her VOICE - could she sing? What song was she popular for again?

I remember that one. I remember her too. What is so funny is that I remember back in the day when I saw that video, I was just waiting for Prince to hook up with her. So it was no surprise when I heard she signed to PP. In some areas Prince has been, shall we say, predictable.
