Little info on Denise Matthews I found this info on the panache report.
Denise Matthews (formerly Vanity) is so far removed from her old lifestyle that she doesn't accept royalty or residual payments from music (Vanity 6) or payment from her TV/film work. | |

Any lawyers on this thread? I somehow think that the money has to go somewhere. Hopefully if she is not accepting any, then she is giving it to a worthwhile charity, maybe a Christian organisation that needs help, or even the homeless. But to just 'not accept' it seems questionable, in a legal sense.
But I question whether she was even entitled to royalties from her music with P. She wrote some of it, but so many other people have complained how they never got paid or got credit for their creativity that I would be very surprised if P would have worked it like that. Also, as far as movies go, again, the money has to go somewhere and legally, I think you can stipulate where it goes. But we need a REAL lawyer or someone who knows about entertainment law to clear this up for us. Better yet, Denise, where you at?????  Genius is born, not made. Prince is a Genius. No question. If it's true, being that she is so devout now, her thinking is probably that the money came from "sinful acts" and she does not want to be associated with it anymore. However, if she doesn't want the money, I have no qualms taking it off her hands... | |
