Norah Jones Since I didn't get to the Cele, I wanted to
hear her music. I love her mellow approach, and her voice. Anyone have a favorite song? #9 - "I've Got To See You Again"...now that one should hit the radio stations...it just should.

Off topic, I've just seen a documentary about her father Ravi Shankar, at a moment he's in concert in London & amongst the crowd we can see Jimi Hendrix laughing & dancing!

"Come Away With Me" and "Nightingale" are two songs that I dig a lot. She should right more songs because she has tramendous amount of potential. I just hope to hear from her in the future. “That’s it” - Prince

Her album is kinda "dreamy", i.e. perfect 4 a rainy day, cuddling with ur significant other, or a bedtime lullaby...not saying that 2 be funny in any way...I love her voice and there are dayz when I can't get "Don't Know Why or Cold Cold Heart out of my head.
I've had this album 4 several months now, and still haven't had the chance 2 listen 2, as opposed 2 just hearing, all of the arrangements and lyrics (I usually play it while at work); so, it's still relatively new and enjoyably mellow. Looking 4ward 2 what she has in store. PEACE edit: Just really listened 2 the lyrics 2 Come Away With Me...absolutely beautiful. [This message was edited Mon Sep 16 2:08:25 PDT 2002 by aspera773]

My friend just burned this for me last night. I put it in this morning on my way to work but it was too mellow for me in the morning. I liked what I heard so far, but I need to listen to it when I'm lounging around. It is kinda "lounge" music isn't it? I only heard the first 3 songs...

Echo says: Sometimes I'm in the mood for mellow, and sometimes not. When you are - this is a good CD to listen to.

I bought this album on impulse, after listening to it at a Tower listening station..
I liked the album enough, it has an acoustic, soothing vibe about it, & I like Norah's voice.. then I discovered- purely by accident- that this album makes for good.. .."foreplay music"... I'll see you tonight..

Norah Jones' father is Ravi Shanker? I love his music. Wasn't he at Woodstock with Larry and Sly? Do you think they are friends? Does Larry really have more influence on Prince then we know? Is Larry Prince's absolute Mentor,God,Father Figure? Is this because of Prince's relationship or lack of with his father? My Goodness Prince is everything O.K.? I know he just lost his Parents. Went through his Child's Death and also a Divorce. Prince are you alright? I know it's rough,I can certainly relate.

Norah looks like somebody Prince would want to fuck and sounds like somebody getting fucked when she sings.
Not saying that's a bad thing---just an opinion. Blaque"working on getting banned"Knight

I think of Nora's music as romantic, and she
is truly a gifted artist. She has a beautiful voice. I find it very calming when driving, and peaceful!
