Judging by the art on Prince's face, i was just thinking it was somewhere in the early 90s?

Hearing her sing makes me laugh hysterical. She is just terrible! You can hear the concerted effort she has to make with every syllable she sings. she has to concentrate so hard just to sing she can't get any emotion at all into the song. is it as bad as The Most Beautiful Boy in the World? No. But then not much is.

The first release was by Mica Paris (British soul singer) around 1990 I think on her Contribution album.

I'm just being an ass. lol

I don't hate it either - there are a few songs I like, especially the cheesetastic 'Rhythym Of Ur Heart'. And I really like 'In Ur Gracious Name'.

I always reemember finding this in an independent record shop - *no* promotion whatsoever, I thought it was a bootleg! I've never seem a copy anywhere since...

i found my copy in a recordshop that always had these weird prince or
prince related releases.

listened to it quite a lot in 95-96 and there's still quite a few gems
on that album. it's quite cheesy indeed but fun as well.

there's even a "rhythm of your heart" outtake with a prince rap in the
middle. the song was even intended for The Gold Experience at first

eek

oh and fcuz i still love to listen to "However Much U Want" music

i don't have a copy and i've never heard it. i had a chance to buy it when i found it in a little record collector-y shop in NYC years ago, but it was selling at import prices - i think they wanted $23 for it or something - and there was NO way i'd pay that much for a mayte album!
