Prince should have asked Sheena Easton to co-star in "Under The Cherry Moon" with him

what do you think? Could she have played the role of Mary Sharon? Originally,Prince wanted Madonna for the role, then he chose Susannah Melvoin, and finally settled for Kristin Scott Thomas.I always thought that Sheena could have played this role and because she can sing, she could have even recorded a few songs for the film.Imagine her beautiful vocals on "Sometimes It Snows In April"!

If Sheena had starred in the movie,Prince could have produced an entire album for her, with songs that could have been used in the film...sorta like a female version of 'Parade' lol

Possible songs for her album:

Sheena Easton 'Charade': Songs from and inspired by the movie 'Under The Cherry Moon'

"Miss Understood" (The Family outtake)
"Sometimes It Snows In April"
"G-Spot" (the Mary Sharon character was sexually frustrated, lol)
"Eternity" (a song that Sheena recorded around this time)
"A Place In Heaven"
"Wrecka Stow" (No,this song doesn't exist...lol...but how about fun,rap-styled number based on this hilarious scene in the film? Prince and Jerome make a guest appearance)

lol I'm having fun with this, lol

Sheena would have been great in the part. I loved her in the Miami Vice episode arc she starred in, she'd have been much better than Kristin Scott Thomas imho! She's got sparkle.

No, he picked the right person to play the dorky stuffy rich girl in Paris. That actress was so dorky she was downright funny.

Sheena would have looked too slutty for the stuffy role. lol
