Those are some harsh things to say about a woman you don't even know.

Well, at least she can let go and not hold onto the "Nelson". She got what she wanted, she realized that it wasn't all it was hyped up to be and she rolled out. And she'll come out of it with some moolah and be added to the list of lucky broads who got to behold 'it' and use 'it' (it could be the wealth, the thing or both.)
I wish I was on that list.

If the opportunity to "spend quality time with Prince" were to occur, isn't anyone here concerned about a sexually transmitted disease?
I mean, he does get around.....

I was agreeing with the fact that she was a golddigger. I dont know about his other women being "better" than her, but I see Mani as nothing but an opportunist. Not saying P is a saint, but I dont like users. And she was obviously with him for purposes other than love.
[Edited 4/18/07 20:11pm]

Ok I don't know Manuela or anything so I can't judge her character because I never met her ...but where do you guys get this stuff from? That she is an opportunistic golddigger that married Prince to advance her career? Do you really think it is fair to assume that unless you have actually met her and experienced her personality for yourself? I mean so she wanted a career..big deal??? She loved Prince for a long time...it's not like she was on the lookout for any rich famous man to feed off of..she just really liked Prince and they clicked so what? R U guys assuming that Prince is stupid and can't tell a golddigger? I mean he has been in the biz for a long time and met alot of women.

I'm just saying don't assume because of how a situation looks is the truth...appearances are very decieving expecially if you don't actually know the people you are speaking of and get an intuitive vibe about them and their intentions.

I honestly think that no woman that winds up with Prince is ever going to be "good enough" to some fans.

When Mayte first came on the scene, SHE was the gold digger back then for seeking him out backstage at a concert in Germany and giving him her "tape" Come to find out, it was her PARENTS that allowed it!

Now Mani is obviously gonna get the gold digger label simply based on the "facts" that we "know", which is hardly the way to label someone in the first place because what we "know" ain't even truth. The truth only lies within the two of them and only they know what motivated, inspired, attracted, them to each other.

yeah but you're making assumptions yourself. You don't know Mani so you can't assume that she really loved him, you can't assume she was not on the lookout for a rich famous man, (she was a die hard fan who ended up in Paisley Park - which could mean anything ofcourse). who's to say that she didn't play along and convinced Prince she was real.

On your point, you are absolutely right, none of us know any facts, so all we could do is make guesses or not form any opinion of the matter, good or bad, because we know neither of them.

I agree that there's a chance Prince's ways contributed to the decline of the marraige, at the same time I also believe Manuela is a gold digger. I believe she wanted to be Prince's wife no matter what, and she found ways to seek the opportunity to get into his world. Does that excuse him if he did anything wrong to her, no. But it is what it is and I say Mani got what she wanted, though I can imagine it was not easy. Either way she's really rich, had the man of her dreams and now she has the organization she always wanted to startup - I actually took a look at some of her products and even I'm impressed.
[Edited 4/19/07 10:09am]

i don't think she's a golddigger i just think she is an obsessed fan who did everything she could to become a part of her idol's life...and that just happened to be him falling on top of her while he was married to another woman. lol

Yeah..i think most of us are hypocrites.
I do agree with you... I also think most of us (men and women alike... perhaps) would have done similar things...regardless of morals. Doesn't make it right.. just the reality of it.

Manuela is just about the nicest person you could ever meet, same as Mayte!
I can understand your points of view (especially if you've never met them...), but don't forget they sometimes come here too. You're going to hurt their feelings- the same way everybody calling Jerome gay upset him. The world is a cold place as it is and everybody deserves understanding. I agree with you and Krystal! I seriously don't understand why some have to waste so much time hating on a person they know absolutely nothing about. She hasn't done anything that gives us the right to spit in her face. I haven't heard anyone who's met or knows her say anything but beautiful things about her. She must be quite extraordinary for arousing such positive feelings.
So what if she once was a Prince fan like us (oh no eek ), that does not mean that she didn't love him for who he really was. C'mon. And anyway it's not our business. She's probably changed a bit since her days as an ordinary Canadian citizen but who wouldn't? Plus you don't know why Mani filed for divorce... I've got a feeling I don't feel sorry for P...

You make valid points except you ending with an assumption yourself when you also don't have the facts. I agree with everyone and have to scold myself to for not passing judgement but if you're going to make comments leaning the blame towards Prince then you have to allow others to express that on Mani too if that is their belief. Since none of us know what happen or have the facts as you state there should not be blame or assumptions on Prince or Mani.

in the post 9/11 world questioning if someone is "gay" should not elicit any emotion. there are far worst things to be called and its silly that folks would get "upset" over it...

and im sorry but cha know, i don't give a rats arse how nice someone is...if they are utilizing their celebrity for personal gain then its fair use...and she needs to just deal with it...

or maybe she shouldn't have put on another woman's dress and man...she then could have avoided the assumptions and wealth.

Papers? As in lab results? That's no security. If tests were done to prove a person is free of infection, it's only true up to the date the test was done. Between that date and now, the person could contract a virus.
Protected sex and common sense is safest.

I was referring to the comment that she is using her charity work for money and fame. I don't believe that to be true at all.

Anyway, that's enough from me on the subject. I know how Mani treated me, and what she told me during our conversation, and that is how I see her. Speculation on a message board devoted to her ex husband isn't the best way to learn about someone.

I fully agree with you on that note. Having relationships in the same workplace is useless. Unless you can keep it on the downlow but in some cases it doesn't work that way.
