Thanks for the correction.
In high school and college I had several art teachers who debated the six vesus seven color palette theory--they did not "truly" consider indigo separate from violet/purple.
I always lost the argument with them and applied their thinking for this situation--I chose six colors.
Strange...if you throw indigo in to the mix it is the sixth color, can be considered a "shade" of of violet/purple, and has six letters.
From my perspective, Prince has/had some fixation with the number six and many
"things" that have some relationship with that number. I can't prove anything...just pointing out some coincidents!

Actually, that's not true. It has been recognised that there are only 6 colours in the light spectrum. It was Newton who first speculated there were 7 possibly because "7" had always been a symbol of heaven/harmony (7 notes in a major scale etc.).
