i think all the folks who got into the Family Jamm pre-reception and after show party got a huge advantage...that was an associated artist cluster f*ck that night.

my list? w&l, susannah, dr. fink, apples, jill jones, rosie gaines, the time (well...all but morris), the family....ummm i think thats it...oh wait, i got to say hi to kat dyson in front of a wendy and lisa show once...and ummm...ummm...well, i got real close to michael bland and margie cox at one of their shows and bland (here on the org) told me i should have gone up to him and introduced myself...cause he has got to the be nicest and most welcoming associated artist of them all..

oh oh oh...and i met dr fink and brownmark's wives...real nice ladies..

i interviewed dr. fink and michael bland, and i met john blackwell and once i made silly faces with candy dulfer while she was waiting to go onstage. that shouldn't count but it was cute.

Purple Rain Tour in Detroit,MI-I briefly met and received autographs from St. Paul,Billy Sparks,Jellybean Johnson,Jerome Benton. I met Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis as they were leaving the auditiorium and I asked for their autographs, what a MISTAKE!! They cussed some of the NASTIEST language you ever wanted to hear,and they wouldn't sign anything with Prince's f*cking name on it-Jimmy Jam said that. They were both incredible rude and disgusting!

I met Sheila E in 1984 or 1985 on her Glamerous Life tour in Cleveland Ohio at a nightclub after her performance and received her autograph. She was extremely sweet and friendly. I also met Sheila E on another tour in Mpls.

I guess the most associated artists I have met was in 1988 at the Lovesexy afterparty at Paisly Park. What a night to remember! I first approched Wendy,Lisa and then I said Susannah? I was shocked and also happy that she was there. All three were super friendly and I recieved an autograph from each. Then I saw Brown Mark but he didn't look to friendly to me and I was leary to approach him and I told Wendy I don't think I can go ask for his autograph. So she basically said Mark, sign this for her and handed him my tour book. How lovely was that of Wendy and Mark! I also met Levi,Miko,and Cat and got an autograph for each,everyone was so nice to all of the radio contest winners that evening. Then I saw John L Nelson and I was stunned,and I slowly approached him. He was delightfully engaged in a conversation with a very beautiful,young woman so I waited until he was finished speaking and asked for his autograph. He obliged and signed,but he also had that great sense of being and you could feel like you were standing next to a man that knew he was SOMEBODY! I felt a bit intimidated and quiet,but I managed to speak. I also saw Jerome again at the party and he was a silly,silly man that night! I think I met Bobby Z as well. I also met Prince that night. But one of the most memorable parts of the evening was Prince seeing Wendy and running over and giving her a big bear hug. He was so happy to see her,you could tell he missed her quite a bit.

I had gone to the club,Glam Slam back in 1991 and 1992 for a Controversy Convention and I met Mayte,Carmen Electra,Tommy Barbarella,Levi,Miko,Michael B,Kirky J,Tony M,and Damon. I also received autographs from each. Also one night at Glam Slam I walked by Andre Cymone but I didn't know it! My friend said OMG did you see Andre check you out and I said what??? She said Andre Cymone was looking at you and I said are you sure and she YES, you looked right at him and I said well I didn't even recognize him. So I guess I didn't meet Andre but I walked past him.

I met Mani at the Paisly Park blowout garage sale. I've also met Larry at Paisley Park,twice. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and always happy and smiling!

I breifly met and spoke to Maceo at 3121 as he was leaving the restaurant/club.

At the Minnestota Music Awards I met Ingrid Chavez back in 1991 or 1992,not sure which year. I also met Eric Leeds and T.C. Ellis at a convention.

I never met Prince's mother but I did see her one time at Glam Slam. She looked very happy to be there.


I can't remember if I'v met any other associates, I think that's a complete list.

I met most of them at the Family Jamm: I met Bobby Z, Matt Fink, Brownmark, St Paul, Jerome, Jellybean, Eric Leeds, Alan Leeds, Sheila E, Miko Weaver, Jill Jones, Apollonia, Carmen Electra, Kat Dyson, Susie Davis, Karl Perazzo, Benny Rietveld, Steph Burns, Juan Escovedo.

From the NPG I've met: Tommy Barberella, Sonny T, Michael B (hanging with him at Perkins at 3 in the morning was too fun) Morris Hayes, Tony M, Kirk Johnson, Damon Dickson, Mayte, and Brian Gallagher from the NPG horns.

I've also met: John Blackwell, Rhonda Smith, Renato Neto, Larry Graham, Morris Day, Terry Lewis, Levi Seacer, Jimmy Jam (couldn't have been nicer we talked a long time at Glam Slam), Greg Boyer, Mani (total sweetheart),TC Ellis (heehee) Billy Sparks, Ingrid Chavez,Mike Scott.

And of course, Wendy, Lisa, Susannah and Prince himself.

Looking at this list, I don't remember ONE of these people being anything but nice.

Let's see, I met Billy Sparks, Kip Blackshire, Morris Hayes, Mani, Taja Sevelle, and then Femi, Takumi, Trevor.. but not sure as to count them as associated Artists or not.

Now backstage, I've seen much more artsits walking by me...
