So I picked up The Fonky Baldheads cd, is it just me or...

are they awfully bad? The first song ends with DVS yelling out "you suck!", and his white boy rapping enimem imitation sounds like a parody.

which album are you talking about? they released two albums:

The Official Bootleg

The Self Titled Album

both are quite good actually. 'Passin Your Name', 'Fonky Like A' and 'Under The Same Clouds' stand out

They make the New Power Generation sound like a great band name.

Actually I saw about five minutes of them opening for Prince and they seemed kinda funky. But I haven't spent much time with them.
