Morris Day's Girl Group The Day Zs.....DO U Remember??

The Year was 1990 and it was their self titled debut the girls are as follows
Cheri Wells-Lead Vocals, Background Vocals-former Mary Jane Girls singer
Kelli Gurman-Keyboards,Bass Synthesizers,Background Vocals
Tiffanie Smith-Drums,Background Vocals
Shari Bender-Percussion,Background Vocals
Cecilia Worrall-Saxophone,Keyboards,Background Vocals
I do believe the 1st single was High Fashion or Sunny Dayz but my favs were Green Acres feat Morris Day and Certainly very funky and has a three stooges sample that i LOVE, Totally in Luv, Average GirlZ.....Chime in and lets see if you remember this girl group?

I actually knew nothing about this when it was released and didn't find out about it until I was on the net. I found one at a flea market a couple years later. Its OK, but I probably wouldn't have given it a second thought if Morris and Freeze didn't produce it( I actually burned copies of the cd for them since they no longer had copies)

Wow! That's crazy!

I also didn't know about it til last year from reading about it on here.

Cheri went to my high shcool in NJ.... I always like to say the one of the MJGs is a homegirl! smile

I got the cd off ebay but didnt' listen all the way through. I'll have to give it another listen.

I wonder if the played the instruments on the CDs or if Morris did a P and just had them record the vocals.

I've heard of this group, but never actually heard or seen them.

I wish this was available, because I am a HUGE fan of Morris.

Honestly the only song on that album worth anything is "Today".
