As the story goes, Prince had a rough acoustic version of "Kiss" (circulating amongst bootleg collectors) and the band Mazarati took it, came up with what you hear - and in exchange, Prince gave them an "arranged by" credit for the song. So if anything, Mazarati's version is the original, although, in NO way as good as Prince's. This DOES sound like karaoke! | |

Pretty monotonous vocal, mind. It just doesn't excite me at all.

THe story is documented. David Z. is the one who turned it into what it is and got the arranging credit. the Mazerati guys just sang background (that David Z came up with from an old song). |
