The Family Review 02/10 Http://www.thebumpsquad.com
Http://www.myspace/thebumpsquad first of all ?love came out to introduce them saying there wasn't a bigger prince fan in the room and it was an honor and thrill to welcome one of his favorite bands of all time for there 3rd concert ever..... the family. Then they all took the stage for a very funky set that started with river run dry. Screams of passion was next and sounded amazing. nothing compares 2 u followed with Jerome telling the crowd this is how this song should b sung. It also featured an amazing sax solo by the one and only Eric leeds. Then it was time to pick it up as jellybean kicked into high fashion! This jam could have gone all night. Mutiny was the final song of the set and the band left to a lot of love from the all VIP crowd. Jerome yelled "Hey St Paul, is that all we got for these lovely people after 20 years?" St Paul then replied "yes but stay tuned." Jerome led a stay tuned chant as the band left the stage. I should hopefully have a few pics very soon. Also, Wendy was playing rhythm guitar for the entire set. Kat Dyson was playing lead. Set list: river runs dry screams of passion nothing compares 2 u high fashion mutiny (This review was sent in by darklotus69. Glad u got in and thank St. Paul again 4 the phone call.-j7) Silence Speaks A Thousand Words.

Not a bad review. Sounds like they'll be doing small venues. Hopefully w/ time to rehearse they'll sound better than what they did at the "Family Jamm".

Nice review! I didn't even know that they are already performing I assumed they are in the development/rehearsal stages. I hoped if they are going to do small venues that it will be all over the USA. Not all of their supporters can afford to fly out to LA just to see them.

Are you kidding??? Their set at the Family Jamm was the highlight of the show! And that is saying something considering Sheila's band played as well as the Revolution! They are amazing and I can't wait to see them.

Nah I'm not kidding. It was good "seeing" them. But musically they could've been better. With all those seasoned vets of the stage. Their sound should've been better. Now I realize they probably had 48hrs to get it together.....it sounded like it.....but this go around they should be waaaayyyyy tighter. Their 85 show sounded better. So they should be able to improve now that they have made it offical "they're back".

yeah...i remember a report saying that they only had a day or two to practice. I think they sounded great.... I have the DVD of the original concert too and I think they sounded amazing at the Family Jamm. I'm a musician as well so my ears are not completely untrained either. I also had the perfect seat so maybe the sound wasn't as good in all parts of hte stadium. anyway, i'm glad they are gonna tour.

I was just repylying to the quote above, not to your comment, which is true though. Everyone including the Revolution had like only a day and a 1/2 to practice andthey hadn't seen each other in 17 years!
