I know I might be opening a can big ol worms with this and I am sorry if I am but does anybody like the Twins? Also in my humble little of opinion it seems they were both made to model after Beyonce. I just thought that after looking at the photos of his performance on the Miami Press show. Personally I just like to hear him sing a play. I really liked his musicology accoustic performance. It was a rare side of Prince his audience doesn't get to see.

I like the twins they both are full off life just enjoying the moment. Watching them is like A breath of fresh air..

Who are they? They are a little sudden for me and I dont like them, they are very ammiture.
I missed all the info on them and cant seem to find anything about them, help?

ur not opening a can of worms...that is the general consensus (general, because not all but most feel the same way). i think they look to spastic, the hair flinging thing has to stop, they don't dance in sync...and they dance off key...but as far as looks go, they are beautiful.

I have no problem with them....

they don't ruin shows or really add that much to them, but they are cute and add a lot of energy.. they can do their thing, it's fine with me

But I think it's good to have some BG singers.

Back in the day, you had W&L and Sheila and later Bonnie or Rosie. It's good to have some female backup.

Honestly, I can think of finer women who could dance with Prince, they just don't do anything for me, but I guess there are plenty of men who wouldn't kick 'em out of bed. When I get the chance, I'd have two fine ass men escorting me around, but I don't know about all the kooky dancing around me while I'm trying to sing and stuff.

They're entertaining. They are a little sudden though - what the hell?...hee hee hee...where did they come from? For whatever reason, they do sing very little backup, but they can't really sing. Who said they could sing? They should only dance...he needs to let Shelby sing. She can blow!

you know what? I wouldn't dislike them at all if they could actually dance and if they never eve ever ever ever sang. I cannot understand why Prince would have them singing backup for him and they sound a mess. I wonder what the band thinks of them. They were singing backup for him on American Idol and I wanted to puke.

Those 2 kept jumping in front of him last night, and were just plain "in the way".
-A coworker of mine, who is not a Prince fan, asked me what their purpose was!
-My class was ragging on them in 2nd period 2day! One boy pointed out that they blocked Prince's shot at one point.

I'd rather see two twins who look like that over two twins that look like,say George Clinton anyday!

ok, i've finally decided to chime in with my two cents on all the Twinz hateration that's been goin' on ad nauseum up in this piece. people make it seem as if D & P were Alvin Ailey professionals or something, they were quite average and I didn't see a lot of them, but they weren't exactly an improvement compared to the Twins to me.

Cat is still his best dancer by far, ever. i like the Twinz engery. to the uninitiated i can concede that they can be distracting, but they're his new eye candy. get used to them until he changes again. their background vocals for Baby I'm a Star, Proud Mary and Best of U were adequate during the SB.

Although it didn't seem to me like they were singing during SB... I didn't hear much or see any mics.

But I don't hate on their singing... I saw the surprise Tamar show in New York and their backup singing was fine, esp since they were dancing too.

it looked like they were wearing the head mikes....but i sure couldnt hear them if they were singing....but i dont think they did because they were all over the stage the entire time....

I have seen them live twice, as well as the various TV shows and a couple other shows. They are absolutely dreadful--usually singing off key (flat) and their dancing is spastic and full of missteps. All they do is twitch around and fling their hair. Watch the SB Press conference--they can't even play the tamborines in synch or on beat; and they totally fucked up/forgot the lyrics to 17 Days the opening night of 3121 Vegas. Admittedly, I'm not one for back up dancers in general, but give me D&P over those two any day--at least D&P had some rhythym and were kept away from the microphones! (Cat is probably my fave, though.)

I agree with jones70. Of all of Prince's dance Cat had spunk and the vibe. I think Mayte comes in second she was unique in her styles. They added to the shows

I thought they looked cute doing their "booty" dances because they are so little and skinny it came off a little like daddy making the kids dance for company at the house. If I did those dances it would look like I am auditioning for Magic City ("gentlemen's club").

It kills me the way people want to romanticize the past and make it like D&P and Mayte were so great. I would take the Twinz over either of them anyday. P obviously likes them, they've been around for more than a year now.
