RE: Prince and Andre Cymone and The Time I've been reading the post regarding if Andre was jealous of Prince. Which brought to my mind how controlling is or was Prince. Some People have called him a Perfectionist and some have called him a little Napoleon. We know from past interviews that when The Time was just starting out Morris was a drummer and Alexander O'Neal was the lead singer. Magazines put their two cents in stating there were hard feelings between O'Neal and Prince, when Prince nixed O'Neal and then moved Morris to the front to bring them into the Warner Bros family. The hard feelings were later reinforced by magazines when on one of Prince's albums. Prince penned a song by Alexander Nevermind as a way of an apology.( Feel free to correct me if I am wrong). Another big brawl was said to have come about when he fired Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam from the Time for being late which left a bad taste in Morris' mouth because Morris felt he had no control over his own band. We all know magazines put their own spins on things to make an entainer look good or bad. Some writer have even said sometimes it just more fun to be mean. But reading between the lines about what has been and hasn't been written about Prince. Is he really as unrelenting has he has been made out to be. What do you think?

What happened in 1990 that caused Jesse to leave, followed by Jam, Lewis & Moir??
If I'm correct, it was after Saturday Night Live.....

If I'm correct, it was after Saturday Night Live..... Well, I do know for a fact that Jesse didn't take the SNL techs advice to use cables instead of going wireless - during the performance of "Jerk Out", Jesse's wireless unit stopped working and a tech had to rush out and connect a cable to Jesse's guitar. Whenever they replay that song on SNL repeats, what you're seeing is the dress rehearsal version of that song. That incident is always referred to as "the Jesse Johnson incident" among SNL techs. Don't know what, if any, effect this had on relations with the other Time members, but it's an interesting story, nonetheless... My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth
