And why did Prince (or whoever ran it) take down their Myspace page, it`s all plain now

tamar's myspace page was taken down? didn't she post to it after she split with universal?

Prince's is plain and Tamar's is still running. P and T ain't working together anymore (in case you didn't know that Negritaluvya).

Btw, why the heck are people still posting comments on P's myspace page when no one has updated it since October?
Though as it's still in existence they might plan on doing something with it in the future... Oh well.

Did anyone else see her on 'TV One' singing Gospel this morning? She was on Jeff Major's Gospel show. She sounded pretty good of course. There was a small interview but there was no mention of Prince.

Angela Winbush was also on there singing Gospel.

Did anyone hear Tamar on 97.9 The Box this morning? She sang with the resident "rapper" and sounded like an angel. When someone does the small technical things well, you have a SANGER on your hands and she is it.

Anyway, surprisingly she had never heard "Sometimes It Snows In April" and the station actually played it for her (I never thought I would hear that song on a Hip Hop Station).

She also mentioned she loved "Free" and would love to re-make it. With her soulfull voice I'm curious as to how it would sound.

Oh well, that was pretty much it. Nothing negative was said about Prince and she seemed really sweet. Did anyone else catch it?

that had to be interesting hearing Sometimes It Snows In April early in the morning on a hip hop station. What was the "context" for how they ended up playing that?

Also, i was listening to TRC yesterday and that HAS to be Tamar on Everywhere right? I love that song.

I actually forgot how it came up but 3 of the DJ's started to sing the song and she mentioned she didn't know it. Then one of the DJ's actually played it. She mentioned how pretty the song is. They even had to tell her it was from the "Under The Cherry Moon" soundtrack, which is cool considering she was very young during those days.

With regard to "Everywhere" on TRC, I really don't think that was Tamar. I know he was working with a 5 member female group at the time (I forgot their name) and I assumed it was them. I don't have the linear notes handy but I'll have to check to be reminded of their name.
