Does anybody know if he still works with Prince or did he move on?

he's creditted as recently as TRC...backing vocals.

moved on from what I remember. He posted on here for a few days once, but didn't get very good interaction. I think a lot of people didn't even know who it was.

Oh I see! Thank you Ufoclub. Funny people didn't know who he was when he produced for Prince but also Stevie Wonder and a few other big performers. I liked that side of him of staying very humble at the Park and interacting with people. Quite a nice guy, actually!

I dont't think he produced for Prince. He was the engineer. A very talented guy and a very friendly one also. Haven't spoken to him in a few years so I don't know if he is still at Paisley. Sorry if that doesn't answer your question.

Thank you madhouse. No need to apologize. All information is valuable. I actually met him personally through another employee from Paisley. I remember him telling me he was a producer and worked for Stevie Wonder. The other employee confirmed everything he was saying. He'd show up at parties at the park and Prince and him spoke often too.

Prince always takes producer credit because that's how he branded himself when he first signed with Warners. He's very conscious of his commercial "Prince" brand identity and sound. Femi and the other engineers often have to fill in the songs with sound effects and additional production, sessions with musicians, or mixing in Prince's absence, then Prince will listen to it and decide whether to keep it or change it or shelve it...

For example Michael Koppelman the "engineer" plays bass guitar on "Blue Light".

Since it wasn't mentioned yet...Femi was involved in the recording of Stevie Wonder's 2005 album (A Time To Love). Stevie calls out to him during the intro to the track "So What the Fuss." And of course Prince played guitar on that track as well.
