My friend who is an A&R rep for a big label told me that Prince's back-up singer Kip Blackshire went solo. There is HUGE buzz going around about him, they say he is suppose to be the "Next Big Thing!" I guess the songs that he is pumping out are phenomenal! The record labels are going crazy over this guy! I met him at the celebration and he seemed like a really cool guy! I also heard that Morris Hayes (NPG) is working with him too and someone else from the New Power Generation. Anybody have any ideas of who it could be???

I wish him the best of luck, but his affiliation with Prince may damage his career.

Kip is a great guy and an excellent singer! I hope the best of best for him and his career! A solo album from him would be awesome and a must-have.

Everything is coming along very well...and very fast. There are some great people helping out with this project...the music is awesome, and something a little different. He and Morris Hayes are some talented individuals. Should be an awesome band.
