Jodey Watley is somebody who I never would have associated with Prince. I never knew she was in collaboration with Prince. SHe doesn't seem like the type to hang with Prince. SHe never ackowledged or was seen hanging with Prince. Her or Tevin Cambell. Last I heard she was doing a dance album and her sister was in the sex industry.

Then there's CHaka Khan, another one of Prince's friends. I know she was involved with him but I didn't know her name was african. Because of Khan I always assumed her name was Eastern or Asian in origin. Afterall Chaka is kinda spelled like Chakra.

Jody Watley WAS married to Andre Cymone, Prince's ex-bass player. He produced her most successful LP's. Chaka Khan was/is involved with Prince from the late 90's till about.....um.....he performed at her tribute @ the BET Awards this year!!!!!

Did Andre Cymone have anything to do with her song "Some kind of lover"? It sounds very "Minneapolis" with those keyboards and everything.

Andre in fact DID produce "Some Kind Of Lover". Bernard Edwards of Chic (R.I.P.) did other tracks on the LP. Also if U remember the video for "Some Kind Of Lover", Andre was IN THE VIDEO!!!!!

andre was Married To Jody.. But never acknowledged it. Of course they are divorced now. he did alot of her Music...

Bobby Z once told a Story about Prince and Chaka Khan. This happened sometime in the late 70's or early 80's. Both of them were in town for some type of award show or something. It was late at night and Prince was entertaining some guests. He made a bet with someone that he could get Chaka to come up to his hotel room. He got her number and called her. When she answered, He pretended to be Sly Stone and told her to come over, And she did! She was pissed when P and his friends answered the door.
