Would you pay $ 50.00 to see the Revolution without Prince?

of course! just voted. hopefully this will acutally come to pass!

Actuall, Sheila's band COED should do a double bill with them and tour! and they all can come together for a finale jam!

Already did. It was nice show. It lacked any spontaneity but it was a pretty good show. It cost more than $50.00 though.
Music.............is the THANG!

This is not just another random survey. I’m trying too seeing if there is any interest out there. It would be the original Revolution and maybe a couple of members from the NPG. The venues would be small to mid size nightclubs. There would be some Prince songs, but mostly there own stuff

Would I? I did! And I would again!

Actually, when I factor in what plane tickets cost me, I really don't want to think about what I've spent to see things like the Family Jamm, or Wendy & Lisa, or their other outings.

Great! I think the shoudl stick to Revolution though, and "special guests" like Sheila or St. Paul, and other expanded Revolution members (Mico, Jerome etc.).

They should stick to Princely material though....like what I hear the Truth is doing (Man I want to see them but I have yet to go to Minneopolis).

Well let me revise that by saying, they should include some W&L material, or St Paul's stuff or The Time etc..... in ohter words stuff that has been released or we would have some familiarity with.

Anyone who votes "NO" obviously dindn't see the Family Jamm smile

It should be "The Revolution" special guest Sheila E. and please they should play in new york.. All the action usually takes place in LA. What about us?? Also If Sheila is the special guest she can introduce her talented band COED .. Please come to New york..

Oh my goodness I have heard it all, New Yorkers complaining about not getting any "action". Dude, you New Yorkers and Los Angelenos should try living in other American cities, then you would know the meaning of "not getting any action". wink

Anyway, ShellAnswerMan I would pay $100.00 to see them and would sell all of my cousins to hear some Wendy and Lisa material live in person. The Revolution, The Family, Sheila E, and possibly the Time, would almost be too much for me.

I love Prince as much as the average member of this site, but even back in the day when I believed it was soley about him, my heart knew it wasn't soley about him and when the Revolution disbanded, I realized just how much it wasn't soley about him.

I would love to see a reunion tour. New York, DC, Atlanta, Miami, Detroit, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Minneapolis, Denver, Vegas, LA, and San Francisco are my picks. Oh, did I mention Houston? By the way, they can't forget Houston. How about making a stop in Houston? razz

I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

I'm all for what you suggest, but it HAS to play NY!!!

Believe it or not, we don't get much Purple action compared to LA (e.g. Sheila hasn't played here with her band since the 80s) and THe Truth is in Minny.

Ok, Ok, we did get Tamar and Musicology, so I shouldn;t complain smile

You shouldnt have that much to worry! If they decided to booked gigs outside of Cali, your city will make it on the top list!
I bet that they would play in NY before they would play in my city so you are lucky that you live in a city where stars would never missed to play. How that make us non-NYC and LA folks feel when the celebs that we loved to see doesnt come to our town?

Yes, but they will need a front person.
Someone completely unexpected and exciting who can REALLY SING... Maybe like... Martin Fry from ABC... OHHHH I'VE GOT IT!

We need a new Reality TV series- '80/90's ACT MASH UPS!
Where front people, solo artists & side players from popular 80's & '90's acts get traded out.

Like.... Sheila E. fronts the East Street Band. Humpty Hump joins Public Enemy. Vanilla Ice takes over Limp Biskit. Ready for the World swaps 3 players with The Jets. Morris Day fronts jazz/pop act US 3. The Time fronted by the dude from Flock Of Seagulls. Yoko Ono with Missing Persons. George Michael joins Men At Work. Dale Bozzio produced by Quincy Jones. Paul Hardcastle and Annie Lennox. Etc etc etc.

Damn... If anyone knows anyone, get this show on the air (but I want a cut of revenues and a say in bands if it happens!)!!!
LOL
Nasty girls, dance, dance, DANCE!
